Summer!

Our summer has been so great! I definitely don't want it to end, and I'm pretty sure Ella would agree.  We have kept busy with outings nearly every day and the weather has been so wonderful to enjoy being outside.  Lucy comes along for the ride and loves watching her big sister play.  Here's our (long) summer recap of pictures taken with my iphone that haven't been blogged about or instagrammed yet, mostly for my memories sake.

The girls and I have enjoyed weekly playdates with my friend Jessica and her 6 month old Emma.  Lucy and Emma hang out while Ella plays at parks, lakes, etc.  Most Thursday nights in the summer we've gone to Pine Lake Park for their summer concert series and usually meet up with Jessica and her family.  We pack a picnic dinner and Ella loves dancing to the music and finding friends to play with.  Mariah (she was in my 1st and 2nd grade classes years ago!) and her mom often join us too and she is so good with Ella.

We celebrated our 5th anniversary on August 2nd. Such a milestone deserved to be celebrated big, but with Lucy nursing, we weren't able to get away for a weekend like we would have liked.  Maybe next year! But we did get to enjoy a wonderful night out and have an amazing dinner at Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue.  We walked around the art show afterwards and did a little shopping before heading home to pick up Lucy.  Jill was kind enough to watch both girls for us so we could enjoy our evening out, and Ella was thrilled she got to have a sleepover at her Auntie Jill's house.  At Daniel's...

Cody and I both have a love of wedding cake and with no weddings in the near future, I surprised him with a mini wedding cake...yum!
