4th of July

In typical Seattle form, our 4th of July was a chilly one this year.  We still had fun and the kids were troopers at the Bothell parade that morning though...

Traditional Hillcrest Bakery donuts while waiting for the parade to start...

Everett was a champ and all smiles as usual!

Fun to meet up with Sophie and fam at the parade...

Sweet boy slept through all the noise of the parade, including the fire engine horns!

We decided to stay close to home for the evening so Everett could go to bed when he needed to.  We enjoyed dinner at our friends/neighbors, the Wilkersons...

And then came down to our house with them for fireworks in our cul-de-sac...

Ella wasn't too sure about the big fireworks overhead!

The girls weren't big fans of the huge fireworks exploding over their heads outside, so we spent most of the night watching Cody and our friends set off fireworks from the safety of our playroom window...

September Instagrams

More jumping around trying to keep up with photos!  Instagram pics from September...

Lucy has patiently watched Ella's dance classes since she was a baby, and now it's finally her turn to take her own ballet class!  So fun she gets to do it with  her bestie Kaylee!
First loose tooth out!  Super excied about a visit from the tooth fairy!
Slightly exhausted after our 2nd annual YES Day!  The kids love that we say YES to all their requests for one day.  Our only rules:  1) We spend the day as a family 2) It's about experiences (not stuff), so we don't just go buy things.  Some highlights of their requests:  1) Waffles for breakfast 2) Browse the American Girl store 3) Lunch at the American Girl Cafe 4) Ride those funny stuffed animal things at the mall 5) See the baby gorilla at the zoo 6) Ride the Seattle Great Wheel 7) Ice cream before dinner at Red Robin 8) Play at their favorite park 9) Sleepover in Ella's bed
Love having this guy sitting up at the table with us!
Lucy's first day of preschool!
Can't believe Ella is already in Kindergarten!
First soccer Saturday of the season...
Happy 6 months to our sweet, smiley, squishy babe!  He gives the best grins and belly laughs, is a champ at napping on the go, loves every food he's tried, doesn't have any teeth, wears 9-12 month clothes, and is the most content, happy boy!  Love seeing him grown and change but so bittersweet knowing he is our last.
The birthday girl!  Can't believe she is SIX!  Happy happy birthday Ella Grace!  We love you to pieces and are so proud of you!
Let's do this!  The birthday girl's wish: Great Wolf Lodge!
The one benefit of kids being up by 6am: you get the whole water park to yourself with no lines!
Ella was so excited to bring Everett into her class for her special "show and share" during her star student week.  So sweet!  And extra special that grandma was in town and got to come too!
Ella wanted pierced ears for her birthday!  So proud of this brave girl who smiled the whole time!

Ella's Dance Recital

Ella's year of ballet/tap culminated in her dance recital in June.  I love that she loves dance so much and looks forward to her recital all year.  She loves that she gets to wear makeup and a sparkly costume and be on stage.  Fun for us to get to watch her shine!  She/we had a busy week with full hair, makeup and costume done for three separate occasions for pictures, dress rehearsal and the recital.

Ella was killing it with the poses :)...

 Ella is in the center...

Our sweet friend/sitter Miss Janine came to watch Ella (and was so sweet taking Everett out to the lobby when he started crying during the recital!)...
