Happy St. Paddy's Day!

 Happy St. Patrick's Day 2013!

Our silly little leprechaun has been very into showing us her expressive faces lately, so we had to capture a few of them...

Her happy face...
 {My favorite!} her "worried" face...
 Her sad face...
 Her surprised face...
 Her silly face...
 Her kissy face...
 And a few more...
She really wanted to take a picture holding Lily who she recently told me was her, "Best friend in the whooooole world!"

Space Needle

Ella loves looking for the Space Needle every time we drive by Seattle or go into the city.  So we decided to take advantage of a beautiful, sunny afternoon and take her to the top!  Cody had never been either, so it was a fun outing to do the Space Needle and dinner afterwards with just our little family - we're certainly cherishing our time together as just a family of three for the next few weeks!

Preschool Open House

Ella and I have loved going to her co-op preschool together this year.  It has been so great to see her socializing, playing, trying new things, being independent, learning new songs and dances, and making friends.   I would say Tuesdays are her favorite day of the week as she certainly looks forward to going each week! The preschool had an open house for families to attend and she loved showing her daddy and me all the fun things she loves to do...

Ella and her bestie, Olivia...these two love to play, laugh, squeal, dance, jump, be silly, and get in trouble together!

Ella LOVES the singing and dancing...

Birthdays!

It's birthday season around our house and we've been doing a lot of celebrating lately!  Cody celebrated his 31st birthday on February 18 and it was my 31st birthday on March 4.  I love that our birthdays are just two weeks apart and we can celebrate them together each year.

Celebrating Cody's birthday at home after dinner out with just our little family...

We celebrated Cody and Alison's birthdays with friends (Alison's b-day is two days after Cody's) at Bucca di Beppos - 8 adults and 4 kids made for a fun celebration!
 Sophie and Ella at dinner
Birthday dinner date at Daniel's...this may have been one of our last dinner dates with just us for awhile and we certainly enjoyed it!

Family birthday party at our favorite pizza place celebrating Cody, David, and myself as our birthdays are all within two weeks...
My actual birthday was a beautiful, sunny day that made me so excited for spring to get here!  After a doctor's appointment in the morning, Ella and I enjoyed lunch outside and then headed home to take naps.  SO thankful that she's still taking long naps so I can too!
My cute lunch date basking in the sun...
 At dinner that evening...

Of course Cody finagled his way into getting free desserts from the manager!
Can't wait to see my toes again in just about 5 more weeks!
Whew! That's a lot of celebrating in the past few weeks!  Looking forward to a very special 31st year of life!

Baby Shower Weekend

I am so blessed with incredible friends!  Carly (and her 6-month-old, Lauren) flew in from Spokane and Katelin drove down from Bellingham to spend the weekend with us celebrating the newest addition to our family.  It was so special to have them here to celebrate baby (and my birthday)!  Thank you ladies for making a truly memorable weekend for me!

We celebrated my birthday the Friday night they got here with a delicious dinner at the Melting Pot...love that we've been friends since our freshmen year of college.
After the following picture was taken, Ella was in tears as we headed out the door as she wanted to be one of the girls and go with us...
However, she changed her tune quickly when she remembered that baby Lauren would be staying at home with her that evening.  Thank you Cody for staying with the girls so we could enjoy a night out!  Ella was pretty much obsessed with Lauren all weekend and it was fun to see them interact.  I have no doubt Ella is going to be a great big sister!

 Morning snuggles...
All the girls the morning before the shower...

Ready to celebrate baby at 33 weeks!
The lovely shower hostesses ready for our luncheon at one of my very favorite restaurants, Purple ...

So fun to celebrate with my closest girlfriends!
Thankful my mom could be there to share in celebrating granddaughter #2 as it was her last weekend up here before she joins my dad in California...

It was so special to have my sister-in-law, Emily, up here from Eugene!
Thank you Katelin and Carly for a fabulous shower!
Back at home after the shower...Ella could not get enough of Lauren!

My favorite pic of these two cuties...can't wait for Lauren to meet her newest friend soon!
Breakfast at Portage Bay before taking Carly and Lauren to the airport the next morning.  We certainly ate well all weekend!
