March (so far...)

Lucy's attire and accessories to go to the grocery store with me...
Lucy took me out to Starbucks for a birthday breakfast...
Before heading to dinner on my birthday, the girls and I took some pictures. Yep, I was feeling about ready to pop a few weeks ago, and even more so now!

My favorite - love Lucy's face!
The girls stayed home with our fabulous nanny/sitter, Janine, so Cody and I could go out for my birthday dinner with friends.  We went to Purple, and got my absolute favorite cake for dessert - chocolate salted peanut butter from Deru...

Parent observation week at dance class...

We stopped by to surprise my grandpa on his 90th birthday and bring him a birthday cupcake.  Love that my girls know their great grandparents!
A few springy pictures on a rare non-rainy afternoon.  Love these sweet girls and their sister bond...

Bedtime snuggles...
Our last date night (for awhile at least!) before baby arrives.  Thankful for a husband who prioritizes  mid-week date nights even with his crazy, busy work schedule...
And thankful for our sitter Janine (have I mentioned she's amazing?!) who the girls love having over so we can go out. It's been such a blessing to have her in our lives (especially since we don't have grandparents in town to babysit!). She made this Easter topiary with the girls and always come ready with the most amazing craft projects!

 Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Watching Ella's dance class from the doorway...
Ella has been very into writing and illustrating books that she puts together.  I love her phonetic spelling and pictures!  This is one of my favorite pages from a "soccer book" she wrote (she was so proud that her teacher asked her to bring her book in to share with her class to inspire others to write)...
(You might get hurt on the field)

I've been clearing my phone to make room for new pictures and videos and nesting like crazy (Cody can tell you my to-do lists around the house are never ending but I'm finally to the point where I feel like we're ready!). My next post may be about baby #3! We can't wait to meet him soon!

February

February pictures mostly off my iphone...
Lucy's sweet hugs to my belly...
Valentine's Day!  The girls' valentines for their classmates (I think we've done this same format with different pictures for the past 3 years, but with a new group of classmates each year, why not!?)...
Lucy delivering her valentines at preschool...
 Ella's school valentine party...

We took the girls to Starbucks before church on Valentine's Day and they insisted on sitting at their own table to have a little date :)...
On Cody's birthday, he left for work before the girls were up so we left him a few treats to wish him a happy birthday!
Since he had to work late that night, we took him cupcakes at work (and got to see his new office!) and took him on a lunch date to Dicks...
We continued celebrating his birthday throughout the weekend, and had a few friends over for dinner and birthday cake...

Ella had gotten her hair trimmed and had it straightened at the salon, so Lucy was very excited when I offered to straighten hers too.  I can't believe how much longer it is straight!

Lucy and her crown - this girl loves dressing up...

I never want to forget her blond, tight curls at this age...

 "We look like you mama!"
Sweet bedtime snuggles...
Lucy loves it when Ella agrees to play "mommy and baby" where she's the baby and Ella is the mom (the girls then refer to me as grandma!).  Ella, in "mom mode", is often very sweet helping to get Lucy ready for her nap by putting her in comfy clothes, reading her a book, and snuggling with her.  Although the nap routine takes twice as long, I love that they kick me out of Lucy's room so they can have sister time (or "mommy/baby time" together)...
Beautiful and warm February day at a park!
After Lucy's trip to Urgent Care for her arm, our February wasn't complete without a second trip to the same Urgent Care.  Ella broke out in a really bad case of hives that stuck around for a good five days.  Poor thing was so miserable and itchy, and was disappointed she had to miss three days of school.  We still don't know what caused the reaction and it was so sad to see her so miserable...
