Our sweet girl turned 6! She continues to be such a special, thoughtful, and joyful daughter and we are so blessed to get to be her parents. She is an amazing big sister and often makes my day much easier with her help. She always wants everyone around her to be happy and is very aware of others emotions. We are so proud of how well she is doing in kindergarten and it's fun to see her blossom with her friends, academics, and interests.
She woke up the morning of her birthday to birthday balloons on her door...
Ella was very specific about the birthday cake she wanted - she wanted it to be pink (and strawberry flavored) with real flowers on top. So I bought the cake and popped a few flowers on top and she was thrilled!
Lucy couldn't wait until Ella got home from school to sample it...
Ella had been asking to go back to Great Wolf Lodge for a long time. So we gave her the choice of going with our family for a night or having a birthday party with friends and she chose GWL! Honestly, I was thrilled not having to plan a party! We had such a fun time as a family...

The kids slept surprisingly well for us all being in one hotel room, but they were up and ready to go to the pools by 6:30am!
Ella really wanted her ears pierced and we surprised her and took her right after her birthday! Cody was great about researching the safest and most hygienic techniques, so we ended up taking her to a tattoo parlor. She did great! She sat still the whole time and didn't cry or get upset at all, even while the huge needle was in her ear! :)
