Thanksgiving Week

We had a great week the week of Thanksgiving as both girls had the entire week off school and we were able to mostly be at home.  Cody's parents came over to join us for Thanksgiving day - so nice to be at home watching the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and hosting a big meal at our house.  And thankfully all the food turned out great! :)

The girls helped to set the table, including Ella's cute placecards...

So thankful for our three sweet blessings!

The day after Thanksgiving we headed out on our annual outing to find a Christmas tree.  We went to Farmer Brown's tree farm and enjoyed the cold, sunny day finding our perfect tree!

Getting started decorating one of our trees at home...

Also wanted to remember, while we were mostly at home the week of Thanksgiving, we potty trained Lucy!  Knock on wood, but she's done AWESOME!  Her strong will and independence has finally paid off :).  She wants to do everything all by herself and is very determined to only wear undies now.  She often shuts the door when she goes in to do her business and when I try and go in and help she'll say "no mama, close door!" That includes when we're out in public restrooms or at home.  Sometimes I'm waiting outside the stall for quite a while, but I love her independence in wanting to do everything by herself.  She loves picking out her undies to wear for the day and will often get them all out and look through them one at a time on her bedroom floor until she finds the perfect pair - it's hard to choose between Elsa and Anna, Peppa Pig, all the princesses and Minnie Mouse :).  I was dreading doing the potty training thing during November/December as I knew we'd be out and about a ton with holiday activities, but I'm so glad we just did it as she's been so easy.  Will be so much easier when baby brother arrives!

October

I've gotten so behind on the blog so it's time to catch up! October is always one of my favorite months and it seemed to fly by this year!  We loved the change of seasons to fall and welcoming in all things pumpkin.  Since it feels like winter is already here now, I wanted to include some highlights from our month of October with trips to the pumpkin patches (my favorite fall activity!), and of course Halloween!

Our first stop at a pumpkin patch was when we were visiting Grammy and Grampy in Ephrata...

The next weekend we got to celebrate Kaylee's 3rd birthday at The Farm...

 The birthday girl!

A quick stop at my favorite photo place in Snohomish on our way home...

Loved visiting The Farm with the girls' sweet friends Olivia and Hudson...

Girlies in their pink Hunter boots :)...

I just love these trees with the fall colors!

And our final trip to a pumpkin patch, Bob's Corn, with just our family...

Halloween!  Ella had decided months ago that she wanted to be the "new" Cinderella for Halloween, but Lucy was going back and forth between a bumble bee, a puppy, Minnie Mouse, and a few other choices.  My amazing mom made Ella's dress and sent it to her, and as soon as Lucy saw it, she insisted on being Cinderella too :).  A few pics during our dress rehearsal when it wasn't pouring down rain...

On Halloween night, we went to our friends/neighbors house for dinner and then trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.  It ended up pouring rain, so the girls stayed in for awhile helping me hand out candy.  A few pictures before it got dark and rainy out...
