Hawaii

The last few months have been a whirlwind to say the least!  Between mid February and mid April, we've had one of the busiest seasons in our lives - all good things but just lots going on.  We managed to get our house ready to go on the market (lots of packing, last minute home improvements, and decluttering), sold our house, put an offer on one house that didn't work out, put an offer on another house that was accepted (yay!), hosted family in town a few times, celebrated Cody's, mine, and Lucy's birthdays, and threw Lucy's first birthday party, all while keeping up with our daily schedules and Cody keeping up with his full time job at Active and with EllaMenoPea  (yay for his publication in Seattle Magazine!).  So, when the opportunity came up to go to Hawaii in the middle of all of this, we thought why not add in one more thing!  Cody was nominated for President's Club through work, so we couldn't pass up a free trip.  After my wonderful mom agreed to fly up from Turlock to watch the girls for us so we could enjoy some true relaxation, we got really excited about the idea of getting away on our own for a week.  Active truly spoiled us with an amazing trip - so thankful that Cody's hard work was recognized and appreciated!  Lots of selfies and iphone pics from this trip!

For the first time in 3+ years my carry-on wasn't a diaper bag...
Active gave us welcome bags with beach towels and sunscreen the first day and then new gifts appeared in our room each night.  So fun!

The beautiful Royal Hawaiian, right on Waikiki beach...
 Gorgeous view at lunch...

We took a catamaran on a snorkeling cruise and got to swim with sea turtles and dolphins.  Pretty amazing to hear the dolphins communicating under water and then see them jump and spin in the air...

 My happy place...

 Outdoor cabana massages...
 Hawaiian shaved ice...so good!

The last night, Active put on a gorgeous awards dinner right on the beach, complete with live band and a DJ for the after party...

It was fun to put faces with a lot of Cody's co-workers I had only heard about, as well as meeting their spouses - Victoria and I at the dance party after dinner...
And this one just makes me laugh...clearly some killer dance moves ;)...

While it was such a treat to be on our own schedule for a week, it was so good to get back to see our girls!  We were able to FaceTime every day and it was fun to see Lucy's big smiles when she saw us on the phone and talk with Ella.  The girls had such a great week with Grandma - Ella shed a few tears after we dropped her off at the airport to head home.  Thanks mom for allowing us to have an amazing vacation and for taking such great care of the girls!!
