6 Months Old

How is it that time goes by so much faster with your second child?!  I really cannot believe Lucy is already 6 months old! Ahhh!  Love her to pieces.  She continues to be our easy-going, happy, super-smiley, chunky baby.

6 month stats: 

Weight 20 lbs. - 94th percentile
Height 27.25 inches - 89th percentile
Head circumference 17.7 inches - 99th percentile

Her favorite toy right now is her Sophie the Giraffe. She loves to chew on it and make it squeak.  She also loves her stacking light-up rings and her linking rings and will shove just about any toy into her mouth.  She is a constant mess of slobber :). 

She is wearing size 6-12 month and 12 month clothing.  Yes, I am now shopping in the toddler section at Target for my 6 month old!

Her newest skill in the past few weeks is that she's figuring out how to sit up on her own.  She's still a little wobbly, but is quickly getting the hang of it.  This is one of my favorite baby stages as she's content sitting up playing on her own but isn't mobile enough to get into things yet!

 I love, love, love the way Lucy looks at Ella with such admiration.  She is all smiles when Ella is in the room and will usually only focus on her sister regardless of who else is around.  Ella is so sweet about "playing" with her.  It's so fun to watch them interacting now.  Ella definitely makes Lucy laugh more than anyone.

Lucy is starting to get some curls - her hair totally reminds me of Ella's at this age, just a lighter color.  It's wavy when it's dry, but curls up when it's wet.  Just out of the bath...
