Santa Barbara trip

I started the month of March out with a special trip down to Santa Barbara with two of my very best friends, Rebekah and Carly.  Not only did we get to enjoy a kid free trip in the gorgeous California sunshine, but we got to stay with my parents and it was so much fun getting to do some of the things we wouldn't do if kids had been there.  It also happened to be my birthday while we were - such a fun and memorable way to celebrate!

First stop off the plane, In N Out for lunch!
Then on to shopping at a cute outdoor mall...

 Gorgeous view of Santa Barbara...

 A walk along the waterfront...

Day two...a GORGEOUS walk along these bluffs, then down to the water to walk on the beach...

I was on a mission to collect seashells for Ella's upcoming science project...
Our favorite breakfast a few of the mornings - breakfast acai bowls...
We visited the cutest winery, Sunstone Winery, in Santa Ynez...

Dinner at The Lark. We ate well the entire trip and managed to fit in all the places we really wanted to eat at :)...
Day three...breakfast at the Boathouse (with my parents too!)...
We enjoyed pedicures at the Biltmore Four Seasons - such a fun and relaxing way to spend my birthday!
Cody had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries sent to us during our pedicures!  So sweet!

Then we enjoyed drinks and appetizers at the outdoor restaurant with a view of dolphins playing in the ocean!

We stopped out on the pier before heading to dinner and saw the most gorgeous sunset!!

My sweet husband even had birthday flowers sent to me at my parent's house!
When I arrived home from the airport Sunday afternoon, Cody had cleaned the entire house, and had gotten balloons, flowers, and a birthday cake to celebrate my birthday with the kids.  He and the kids had set up a cute scavenger hunt leading to treats and gifts and we had dinner at Calabria as a family.  Can't imagine a more perfect birthday!
