Christmas Eve and Christmas day were pretty great this year - so much fun with the girls being the ages that they are! It was really special to have my whole family in town to celebrate, especially since we're all spread out across the country now.
We went to a Christmas Eve service with my family at my grandparents church. I love putting the girls in Christmas dresses while I still can...
My favorite part of the service was when the pastor invited all the kids down to the front to dance to the music. Lucy saw the other kids going and ran down the aisle all by herself. She was probably the littlest one down there, but she danced with her baby and loved it.
As she was walking up the aisle after the song, she fully face planted in front of everyone - she was probably dizzy from all that spinning :). Typical Lucy!
Christmas morning - Santa came!
Santa brought Ella the American Girl doll of the year, Isabelle, and Lucy got a new basketball hoop...
One of the things we loved about our house when we first looked at it was that it would be a great "Christmas house" - complete with a Christmas tree window in the living room and a staircase our kids could run down on Christmas morning...

After the first few rounds of cleanup from gift opening and breakfast, Lucy was able to get in a nap and then we continued celebrating at our house with 17 people on my dad's side of the family. We love being able to host holiday gatherings at our house! And it makes me so appreciative of all the years my mom and grandma have hosted Christmas at their houses. Both Cody and I were exhausted by the end of the day, but we wouldn't have had it any other way :).

Grammy made the girls their own adorable quilts with their favorite things on them. Ella's had Elsa and Anna and Lucy's had dogs on it. The girls love snuggling up in them!
